Local Playgrounds and Outdoor Spots

MADISON

  • Dublin Park, Madison City. Kids Kingdom play area, great for kids 3+. Stroller-friendly walking trail around the park- but be warned the trail is somewhat hilly in places.
  • Palmer Park, Madison City. Great for little kids 3 and below.
  • Bradford Creek Greenway, Madison City. A beautiful greenway that is great for family walks. Stroller - friendly.
  • Beaverdam Boardwalk, Madison City. A short scenic trail perfect for strollers. Part of the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge and home to Alabama's largest Tupelo swamp.
  • Phillips Park, Monrovia/Harvest. Two playgrounds and a 0.5mile walking trail

HUNTSVILLE

  • Creekwood Park, Huntsville. Good playground for kids 5+ and a fantastic stroller-friendly greenway which is great for family walks.
  • Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Huntsville. Beautiful children's area including water features and interactive areas for imaginative play
  • Big Spring Park, Huntsville. Bring a picnic and quarters for bird and fish feed
  • Bridge Street Pop Jets, Huntsville (Seasonal). Cool off in the pop jets, open in the summer months only.
  • Green Mountain, Huntsville. A 1.5 scenic trail. Gravel path and somewhat hilly at times. Consider a baby carrier for little ones.

You'll often find a group of FIT4MOM mamas hanging out at Dublin or Palmer park after our workouts. Check out our schedule and then plan to drop by the park one day after our workout finishes. Or even better join us for class and then hang out with us after.
